Browsing and sign-in
You can browse hospital records without signing in. Search terms and filters appear in page URLs and are sent to the website to return results. Avoid entering personal or medical information in search. Hosting and sign-in providers may process connection information, including IP addresses and request logs, to deliver and secure the service.
Sign-in uses ChatGPT. The application receives an account identifier and, when supplied by the hosting service, an email address. These support account access and owner permissions. The provider manages its own sign-in session; see OpenAI’s privacy policy.
Information stored by the directory
- Saved hospital IDs, your account identifier and saved dates, to maintain your shortlist.
- Correction and contact messages, category, submission date and review outcome. Signed-in submissions carry your account identifier. Public submissions carry a day-scoped hash of the network address for abuse checks; the raw network address is not saved in the review record. An optional reply email and evidence URL are stored with your message. Messages and their anti-abuse hash follow the retention policy below.
- Official hospital evidence, import history and administrative audit records, to maintain the directory.
Contact messages and account shortlists are not published. The publisher can review submitted requests. Hosting and database providers process stored information to operate the service. We do not sell contact messages or use them for advertising.
Cookies and browser storage
The directory stores your language choice in browser local storage under careatlas-language. You can clear it through browser settings. Authentication may use provider-managed session cookies. Eligible public pages use Google AdSense. We request non-personalized ads; these may still use cookies or local storage for frequency capping, aggregated reporting and fraud prevention.
Google advertising
Google AdSense may process your IP address, browser/device information, page URL and ad interactions to deliver and measure advertising. We do not send your saved hospitals, account identifiers, contact messages or patient information to Google for ad targeting. Ads are withheld for visitors identified as in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, and when country information is unavailable, pending certified consent configuration. See how Google uses information from partner sites. Google and other advertising vendors may use cookies to serve ads based on previous visits to this and other websites. Google advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to serve ads based on those visits. You can manage Google personalized advertising at My Ad Center; other participating vendors offer choices at aboutads.info. Our ad requests are non-personalized.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (G-CVXN2Q8F1Y) on public browsing pages to measure visits and site usage. Google may process browser/device information, connection information and Analytics cookies such as _ga. Google Signals and advertising personalization are disabled in our tag configuration. Our page-view configuration excludes URL query strings and fragments, and sends only the referring site’s origin. We do not attach account identifiers, saved hospitals or form contents to analytics events. Analytics is not loaded on private workspaces, saved lists, contact forms or refined search pages. It is withheld in the EEA, UK and Switzerland and when visitor country is unknown pending consent configuration.

Microsoft Clarity usage insights
With your optional permission, we use Microsoft Clarity (project yqucyt3r6g) to understand clicks, scrolling and page layout through heatmaps and session recordings. Microsoft may process browser and device information, page URLs, connection information and cookies such as _clck and _clsk. Page text and form inputs are explicitly masked. Masking does not hide the visited page URL or all interaction metadata. We do not send an account identifier or add custom identification events.
The tag is not loaded until you choose “Allow usage insights”. It is excluded on signed-in visits, private workspaces, saved lists, contact pages, refined searches and treatment or specialty pages. It is also withheld when the visitor country is unknown or in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, pending regional consent configuration. Browser privacy signals and URL query strings or fragments suppress collection. Advertising storage consent is denied in the Clarity configuration.
Your Clarity choice is saved in browser local storage under careatlas-clarity-consent. You can change it using “Usage insights choices” in the footer. Choosing “Not now” stops future tag loading; if Clarity is already active, we revoke its storage consent and reload the page. This choice is specific to Clarity and does not change Google Analytics or AdSense settings. See Microsoft’s privacy statement. Clarity data retention follows the service and project settings; it is separate from our hospital database.
Retention and your choices
You can remove saved hospitals from your shortlist. Messages and audit records currently have no automatic expiry and remain stored until removed by the publisher. Use Contact from the same signed-in account to request access, correction or deletion of information you submitted. Requests are reviewed by the publisher; this is not an automatic deletion service. Browser storage can be cleared independently. Hosting-provider logs and account data follow that provider’s policies.
Protect sensitive information
Do not submit Aadhaar numbers, PM-JAY card numbers, patient records, diagnoses, medical reports or payment details. This service does not need them. External official-source and directions links take you to other services with their own privacy practices.
Hospital call planner
Checklist answers and the optional call date remain in the open page’s memory. We do not save them in browser storage or submit them to the directory database. Reloading or leaving clears them. Printing or saving a PDF is handled by your browser. The call-planner page loads no advertising, Google Analytics or Microsoft Clarity.
