Official evidence comes first
We use source lists from government health authorities and link records to the underlying evidence. Hospital identity, ownership, specialty, accreditation, location and empanelment are separate fields. A hospital’s name is not proof of a specialty or treatment package.
Dates have different meanings
The source date is the date supplied by the issuing authority. An import date is when we added that evidence. A current-status verification date is shown only when recorded. Importing an old list does not make its contents current. Undated sources are identified as such.
Location limitations
State codes follow LGD. District names follow hospital source lists. City or locality labels may come from explicit source text and are not presented as verified LGD or Census mappings. Unknown values remain unresolved.
Changes and corrections
Use “Report a data issue” on a hospital page, or contact the publisher with a page URL and official evidence. Reports enter a private review queue. A submission does not immediately change a hospital’s status. Accepted updates retain an evidence trail; ambiguous identity matches and conflicting information require review.
Missing rows or inaccessible sources do not prove delisting. Explicit suspension, de-empanelment or blacklisting evidence excludes a hospital from default discovery while preserving its history. Current eligibility and treatment packages must still be confirmed with the hospital.
Editorial independence
Payment does not establish empanelment or evidence quality. Advertising, if introduced, must be separate from directory results and cannot be used to buy a verified status. Our advertising policy explains this separation.
